Morristown is the seat of Morris county and is embedded with history - its National Historical Park was the first in the country. Its charming downtown, that stays lively into the night, revolves around the Revolutionary-era Morristown Green, and is dotted with sidewalk cafes, boutiques, restaurants. The Mayo Community Theatre and the upscale AMC 10-screen cinema are part of the entertainment provided. Its residential neighborhoods and apartment complexes are all within walking distance to the downtown, or you can ride a bike in the many nearby parks. Fondly referred to as the “doughnut” of bustling Morristown, this town is well know for its parks – see Lewis Morris with over 22 miles of trails, Loantaka ideal for young families, or the 124 acres of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. The 1920’s inspired Fosterfields Living Historical Farms is a working farm not to be missed. It also boasts the Mennen Sports Arena with year-round ice skating. There are also two town pools and two well-known colleges – College of St Elizabeth and the Rabbinical College of America. Convent Station provides direct train service to Penn Station in NYC.
