Just its nickname, the ‘Rose City’, given to Madison because of a 19th century rose-growing industry, describes the charm of this quaint town. Its handsome stone train station built over 100 years ago is on the Midtown Direct Line, serving Penn Station in NYC in just over 1 hour. Because Madison encompasses only 4 sq miles, many commuters either walk or bike to the station. The stroll-able downtown offers family run businesses, a great choice of restaurants, events, parades and many shopping options. The town is also home to two well-known universities, Drew and Fairleigh Dickinson, and boasts a wonderful school system. For the sports fans, the NY Jets football team have corporate headquarters and a training facility nearby! And don’t forget to check out the amazing community pool which offers reasonable membership fees.
